Vanilla Cupcakes with Vanilla Buttercream

Let's try vanilla using our basic recipe;
  • 1 cup of thickened cream
  • 1 cup of caster sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 and 1/2 cups of self rising flour
For the vanilla flavour;
  • Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
Put in the oven at 180' for around 15 minutes.
For the topping, I decided to use buttercream;
  • Around 170g soft butter
  • 1 cup of sieved icing sugar
  • Add 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla essence
Quick and easy to prepare.  Enjoy.
